Our Coalition defined: A coalition is an alliance or partnering of groups in order to achieve a common purpose and/or to work together in joint activities. The building of a Coalition is simply the process of different organizations, movements and/or individuals that decide to work together for something they all agree with and support. It does not take away from the organizations in partnership but rather enhances their work by bringing it to the forefront as the Coalition grows. We encourage you to join our mailing list.
In a nutshell,..
The Coalition for Sephardic Hispanic and Ladino legacy " CFSHLL" was founded by a group of three Los Angeles based Sephardic Leaders who have been working toward educating, equipping and mobilizing our Jewish community. We are working together for the preservation of Ladino (Judeo Spanish) culture and Sephardic identity. We are cognizant that this unique awakening is taking place globally and encompasses all of the Sefardim in every crevice of the earth. To this end, we have found that strategy and collective efforts are needed in every area of our community. We are here to help other Jewish organizations, as well as synagogues, via educational, historical and cultural presentations with vehicles that might heighten awareness in their congregations. Along with our Kol Sephardic Choir of Los Angeles founded by Raphael Ortasse, and our dance troup, Pasion Flamenca de Los Angeles we are able to impart the richness of our history, our culture and our passion as a people. Our conferences consist primarily of lectures, discussion and dramatic and passionate performances intended to create a memorable experience for audiences everywhere.
